Impact d’un remblai routier sur les ecoulements d’air froid dans le vignoble de châtenois (Alsace)
ABSTRACT. – In the Alsatian wine-producing valley of Châtenois, the diversion of National Road RN59 will disturb the natural air flow system. In fact cold air blankets stopped by the diversion embankment may increase frost risk in upstream vineyards. In response to wine growers worry, a climatic impact assessment has been led prior to the embankment building. This paper describes the GIS model used to evaluate the impact of the diversion on the spatial organisation of cold air flow. The model is based on a Triangle Irregular Network (TIN) structure which is used to compute a flow graph and to determine optimum positions for holes in the embankment.
