The management of the road network’s viability in Bihor county

ABSTRACT. – The management of the road network’s viability in Bihor county. In the present context of the struggle for increasing the efficiency of the decisional process, the road administrators must possess the capability to manage large quantities of geographical-specific information. The proposed system, called Aedilis VIA, is based mainly on GIS technologies but is implemented to meat the specific requirements and available data of the Service for the Administration and Management of the County Roads from the Bihor County Council. It is given special attention to the system designed to gather and synchronize GPS and video data about the roads, as a special characteristic of the application discussed.
